As the sun goes down, and the last shades of light are seen, Universal Studios as we know it begins to transform into one of the scariest places you´ve ever seen! Get ready to be chased by zombies, mutants, or blood covered killers with saws that come out from the least expected places to scare you to death. Watch the shows, jump into the rides (especially if you are an adrenaline junkie like myself), walk through the scare zones, and if you are brave enough, visit the haunted houses. These terrifying mazes inspired on the most popular horror movies and TV Shows will make every inch of your skin chill. If you are not feeling brave enough, try a Dead Walker (Vodka & Fruit Juice) or a Blood Sucker (A jello shot sold by a sexy nurse in a blood bag). I guarantee you after a couple of these you would be ready for anything! These also works when the line its too long, but to avoid this and get the most out of your event, I recommend you to get an express pass, it is a life savior, especially if you're trying to visit all the houses on a single night. If you are getting hungry after walking over this never ending haunted streets, get a turkey leg (my mouth is watering) or some twisted taters, they will fuel you up to walk through the entire park. I have to admit this was my favorite Halloween experience, although masks and costumes are not allowed (and I love wearing one), you'll get enough with the amazing make-up and clothes the staff is wearing, and of course with the park transformation and its spooky vibe, you'll forget everything else. My number one house and the scariest one in my opinion was The Walking Dead; there is a part where you have to walk through a lot of zombies, and they come really really close to you leaving you no way out. This year houses featured Insidious, Freddy Vs. Jason, The Purge, An American Werewolf in London (a classic that just made a comeback!), among others. Halloween Horror Nights take place in Orlando, Halloween, Singapore, and Japan, so choose your closest location, gather a group of friends and go! This year was their 25th anniversary, you can tell they are experts on what they do, so it doesn't matter if you are a horror lover or if you get frightened easily, this is a must event to attend during the Halloween season. Yo no, hasta que llego la temporada de Halloween, el sol empezó a esconderse, y entre a un lugar donde me perseguían zombies, mutantes, y asesinos cubiertos en sangre que traían sierras. El parque se había transformado en un lugar de miedo, en donde no solo estaban los juegos (que mientras más extremos, mas me gustan), había shows, zonas de miedo y casas embrujadas inspiradas en las pelis y series de terror más populares.Te juro que adentro te vas a sentir cual víctima de la tele, cada paso que des te vas a morir de miedo y vas a estar esperando que alguien te espante, peor lo harán cuando menos te imaginas y saldrán de donde menos lo esperas. Este año alguno de los temas fueron The Walking Dead (mi favorita), Insidious, Freddy Vs. Jason, The Purge, An American Werewolf in London (un clásico que hizo su comeback), entre otros. Si ya estas ahí y aún no te sientes lo suficientemente valiente te recomiendo que te tomes un Dead Walker (vodka con jugo de frutas) o un Blood Sucker (un jello shot adentro de una bolsa de sangre vendido por enfermeras), después de un par agarraras valor para visitarlo todo; estos drinks también te pueden divertir en las interminables filas, aunque te recomiendo que compres un express pass para evitarlas, yo lo hice y pude entrar a todas las casas en una noche, aunque debo admitir que en algunas filas se me antojaba anexarme a los grupos pues traían un ambiente mega divertido y ni cuenta de la espera se daban. Seguramente después de caminar y caminar te va a dar hambre, puedes comer en algún restaurante y aprovechar para sentarte un rato, o hacerle como yo que soy fan de las turkey legs que venden en los carritos (¿apoco no les recuerdan a su infancia?). Si solo quieres un snack pídete unas Twisted Taters (espiropapas), literal se me acaba de hacer agua la boca, aunque para ser 100 % perfectas un poco de salsa valentina no les vendría mal. Halloween es de mis épocas favoritas del año, amo disfrazarme, y aunque en este evento no se puede, si es un must en esta fechas, pues quedaras fascinado con la decoración del parque y con ver al staff y su maquillaje profesional (hasta te puedes robar alguna idea para después). Halloween Horror Nights se celebra una vez al año (de Septiembre a Octubre), este fue su 25 aniversario y cada año tiene temáticas diferentes, haciéndolo cada vez más escalofriante. Corre la voz con tus amigos, y elige tu parque más cercano, pues aunque seas un amante del terror o la persona que se espanta con todo, es un evento que no te puedes perder.
